Chapter 16- Services for High-End Learners
In Pennsylvania, the provision of services to identified gifted students is governed by Chapter 16 of the Pennsylvania school code. To receive Chapter 16 services, students must meet eligibility requirements, including being identified with mental giftedness as defined by the Pennsylvania Department of Education and needing specially designed instruction. Hampton Township teachers and staff are committed to meeting the needs of all learners by providing a challenging, stimulating environment that encourages students to grow and develop their academic, intellectual, and creative skills.
At Hampton Township, ALL academic resources are available to all students, whether identified as gifted or not, who demonstrate a need for differentiated instruction to reach their potential.

Tier 1: Enrichment for All Students
- In this tier, all students benefit from engaging, high-quality instruction enriched with opportunities to explore various disciplines and interests. We use universal screening and data-driven decision-making to identify areas of strength and provide differentiated instruction that challenges each student to reach their full potential.
Tier 2: Targeted Enrichment for Some Students
- We offer targeted enrichment activities for students who show particular strengths or interests. These activities are designed to help students delve deeper into subjects they are passionate about, and small group settings provide the perfect environment for focused exploration and skill development.
Tier 3: Intensive Enrichment for a Few Students
- Students with exceptional needs or talents receive intensive, individualized enrichment opportunities. This may include self-directed projects, advanced learning options, or participation in specialized programs and competitions. We aim to provide these students with the tools and support they need to excel in their areas of interest.
