Beginning March 17, 2020, Hampton Township School District implemented its five PDE approved Flexible Instructional Days. Flexible Instructional Days occurred in the District from March 17 to March 23, 2020. Beginning March 24, 2020 the District transitioned to remote learning. With this transition, teachers are continuing to provide online teaching and learning activities to keep progressing through the curriculum, and it is designed to be long-term with a focus on the introduction of new skills and instruction designed to support those skills.
Additionally, through remote learning, support services such as enrichment, intervention services, and academic support will continue to be provided to students. During remote learning in Hampton Township School District, both asynchronous and synchronous instructional opportunities may occur. Asynchronous instruction consists of various forms of digital and online experiences in which students independently access instruction from prerecorded video lessons or learning tasks. Synchronous instructional experiences consist of teacher-student or student-student interactions in real-time (e.g., educational video conferences, interactive webinars, chat-based online discussions, and real-time office hours).
