Welcome to the 2020-2021 School Year! 

We are excited to continue growing the District’s One-to-One Initiative. At the start of the school year, chromebooks were issued to students in grades K&1, iPads to students in grade 2 and 3, and Windows laptops with touchscreen to students in grades 4 through 12. In mid October additional iPads were acquired and issued to students in K&1 with the option to continue using their previously assigned chromebook as teachers and students transition to the iPad. Students keep their previously issued devices and should routinely bring their charged devices to school each day. Students entering grade 4 turn in their iPad and charger from 3rd grade and are subsequently issued a hybrid Windows laptop with touchscreen. Students attending the Hampton Online Academy are assigned the same devices as other students based on grade level.

Please note that devices for ALL students in grades K-12 will need to be registered through our insurance site, where parents and guardians will need to either accept or decline insurance for their student’s device for the current year. 

With the pandemic and shift to a learn at home learn at school hybrid instructional model, along with expanded enrollment in the Hampton Online Academy, the window for registration and insurance decisions was delayed this year. The 2020-2021 registration window is now October 30, 2020 until November 18, 2020. Note: You can still register after November 18, but your insurance coverage will be lapsed with the potential for increased device repair/replacement costs.

Sometime between October 30 and November 18, 2020, please click on THIS LINK and follow the step-by-step instructions in order to (1) register your child’s device, and (2) either accept or decline insurance.  If you need technical assistance with any of these items, please contact Jennifer Hearn at (412) 492-6340 or jennifer.hearn@ht-sd.org.

You will need to know your child’s student ID number to complete the student registration process. If you have your email address setup for notifications in the District’s Infinite Campus system, you should have received this information via a form letter email sent on Friday, October 30.
