The Hampton Township School District will be conducting a trial run of buses on Monday, Jan. 20, 2020 to evaluate proposed transportation routes and times as part of the School Start Time changes being proposed for the 2020-2021 School Year. Families may see buses in their neighborhoods and at school buildings during this time; however, there is no school for students on this day. Information about the trial bus run will be shared with the community as part of the upcoming special School Board meeting to discuss the School Start Time Committee’s recommendation for start times for the 2020-2021 School Year. That meeting will be held at 7 p.m. on Monday, Jan. 27 in the Dr. Harold Sarver Memorial Library, HMS.
Protecting the privacy, safety and security of our students is important to Hampton Township School District. Therefore, the District will no longer post the Student Transportation Routes to the District's website. The website is a tool for public use, and posting of bus stop locations with the corresponding pick-up and drop-off times could inevitably be an issue.
The Transportation Department will continue to mail the annual "Transportation Letters" the week prior to school starting. As always the individual transportation letters will inform parents and/or guardians of their child's bus information, bus stop location and the pick-up and drop-off times.
