The High School Spring Scholarship Blood Drive will be held from 2 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday, May 23, 2012 in the High School Auxiliary Gym.

Brad Cisek became the first player in a over a decade to advance to the PIAA State Singles Tournament to represent Hampton.

A 5K Walk/Run and Funfest will be held on Saturday, May 12, at Hampton High School. Proceeds from the event will benefit the National MPS Society, in honor of former Hampton employee Amy Yard, whose son was diagnosed with a form of MPS (Mucopolysaccharidoses). The society is conducting research that will hopefully benefit all of those diagnosed with the various forms of MPS. Presently, there is no cure.

Hampton Township School District once again has been ranked in fourth place among 105 regional public school districts and seventh in the State, according to the Pittsburgh Business Times (PBT) 2012 Guide to Western Pennsylvania's School Districts.

The Hampton High School Math Challenge Team, consisting of John Arnold, Oliver Ebeling–Koning, Robert Hedges, Trevor Kyle and Evan Wilson, earned an Honorable Mention Status and a Team Scholarship Award of $1,000 at the Moody's Math Challenge. The money will be divided among team members.

The year 2012 marks the 20th anniversary of the HAEE. Founded in 1992 exclusively for the educational enrichment of students within the Hampton Township School District, the HAEE has distributed over $450,000 in grants to benefit students and teachers within the HTSD.

Congratulations to Molly Luther and Sara Pilarski, Ryan and Collin Luther and Mark Pilarski for being selected for the WPIAL Class AAA Section 1 All-Section Teams. All-section teams were selected by section coaches. WPIAL and City League coaches were asked to pick a six-player team in order of preference. Coaches were not allowed to vote for their own players.

In appreciation and remembrance of Dr. Harold Sarver, the Hampton Middle School Library will receive a new name. On April 16, 2012, District officials will hold a re-naming ceremony, starting at 6:30 p.m. in the Middle School Library. The public is invited to attend.
In recognition of his many years of service to the District, the Middle School Library will be known as the "Dr. Harold Sarver Memorial Library."
A reception will follow the ceremony.
