HTSD Will Provide Free Meals to All Students Beginning Monday, September 21.
The Hampton Township School District will provide free meals to all students beginning Monday, September 21.
The District applied for and received waivers through the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) for the free meal program. These waivers will allow the District to offer all students free breakfast and free lunch each instructional day through December 31, 2020 (contingent upon the availability of funding).
Students between the ages of 2 to 18 are eligible to receive a free breakfast and lunch regardless of their family income or whether they are attending in-person or online classes. Students attending daycare are also eligible.
Since this offering will likely end during the middle of the school year, we do encourage you to apply for the free/reduced lunch program if you believe you may qualify for free/reduced meals.
For students who are enrolled in the Hybrid program, when attending school for “in-person” instruction, meals will be available in the cafeteria during their designated lunch periods. Please be aware that ala carte items, snacks, etc. are also available for purchase during the lunch periods in the cafeteria.
- Pod B students have a pick-up day on Fridays (must order by 6:00 p.m. on Wednesdays).
- Pod A students have a pick-up day on Wednesdays (must order by 6:00 p.m. on Mondays).
Hampton Online Academy Students:
- Students enrolled in the Hampton Online Academy or Cyber School, must pre-order the meals (by 6:00 p.m. on Fridays) and then pick-up the meals on Mondays.
All “pick-up” meals must be pre-ordered by 6:00 p.m. 2 days prior to the scheduled pick-up day using the google form here: https://tinyurl.com/y6h85quc . This form is also posted on the District website under District>Food Service>COVID 19 Food Orders. The Hampton High School is the designated “pick-up location” between doors 3 and 4. The pick-up time is between 2:45 and 3:45.
The Hampton Township School District and Metz Culinary Management, the District’s food service provider, assure you that our primary concern is the wellness of all involved. We are committed to providing the highest level of sanitation, safety, and service.
