Laura Arledge has been teaching in the Hampton Township School District since 1997. She teaches vocal music, chorus and band at Poff Elementary School.
Ms. Arledge is an established performer in the Pittsburgh area. She has performed with the Undercroft Opera Orchestra, Plum Creek Community Band, Arioso Trio, Johnstown Symphony, Westmoreland Choral Society, and Mendelssohn Choir of Pittsburgh. In addition, Ms. Arledge has appeared as a featured soloist with the Pittsburgh Philharmonic and Westmoreland Symphonic Winds. Musical theater and opera "pit" orchestra credits include The Drowsy Chaperone (Center Theatre Players); The Wiz (Central Valley High School); The Wizard of Oz (Wexford Acting Studio and Redeemer School); Phantom of the Opera (Woodland Hills High School); Legally Blonde (Hampton High School); The Music Man (Red Barn Theatre); Nunsense (Comtra Theatre); The Barber of Seville (Undercroft Opera); Ragtime (Point Park University); and My Fair Lady (Greensburg Civic Theatre).
Ms. Arledge teaches flute at Johnstonbaugh’s Music Center and has also taught at Seton Hill College. She is a graduate of Carnegie Mellon University and holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Flute Performance with a Minor in Conducting, and Music Education Certification.
In her "spare" time, Miss Arledge enjoys cooking, reading, walking, watching movies, listening to music, and spending time with family and friends. :)
