Lively book discussions are held which culminate in year-end English Festivals where students test their knowledge of the books they read against groups of other students from across the region. The titles are pre-selected by the Western Pennsylvania Council of Teachers of English. Sixth graders read a total of four titles and 7th and 8th graders read six titles throughout the school year.
