Central Elementary School student Brooke Hathhorn used skills she learned in the summer program offered at Hampton Middle School to save a drowning family member's life.

Brooke took the babysitting course, which includes CPR and First Aid training/certification, earlier this summer at the Middle School. She was later able to use her skills to help save the life of her own 4-year-old cousin, who was drowning.
