Hampton Sports Hall of Fame

The District celebrates its rich athletic tradition with the 10th Annual Athletic Hall of Fame Induction ceremony/dinner on Saturday, October 2 at 6 p.m.         

            A total of seven Hampton High School graduates, coaches and Athletics Director who excelled in a variety of sports will be inducted at a dinner reception at Wildwood Country Club on Saturday, October 2.  There will also be a golf outing on Friday, October 1 at 10 a.m. at Pittsburgh National Golf Couse (formally Deer Run). The 2010 Hall of Famers are: Al Benaglio 1969; Football, Track & field, Wrestling, Frank Christy: Teacher, Coach, Jean England Collins 1981; Cross Country, Track & Field, John Gallagher; Teacher, Coach, Athletic Director, Dan Obermeier 2002; Basketball, Baseball,  Diane Vitunic 1996; Soccer, Track & Field, and Dean Renwick 1956; Football, Track & Field.  The seven athletes, coaches and Athletic Director also will be recognized during the pre-game ceremony at the October 1 football game against Knoch.   

            The induction ceremony/dinner will be held at Wildwood Country Club at 6 p.m. on Saturday, October 2. Tickets are $35 per person.  Tickets and program information are available through the office of the Athletic Director at the High School or call 412-492-6389.
