The HHS Musical, Damn Yankees continues THIS FRIDAY and SATURDAY at 7:30 in the auditorium. Tickets are available in the high school office, online at www.hhsmusical.wikispaces.com, or at the door.

All students who are registered to take the AP exams this may MUST participate in a pre-registration session during  their lunch period in either the LGI or the Center Aud.  Today and tomorrow we will be in the Center auditorium.  The gridding should take about 15-20 minutes.  Report to the administration session first and then go to lunch.

Today in the Center aud:  Learn about college internships from Hampton grad and current Hofstra University student Christina Hedges  in the Center aud during all three lunches.

The World Affairs Council teleconference  on Pittsburgher Dr. Jonas Salk and the Polio vaccine will take place on Thrusday in the Center Auditorium from 8:50 a.m. until 10:30 a.m.  Report  immediately if you have pre-registered from Mr. K or Mrs Foley.  Attendance will be taken.

On Thursday, find out about fire safety and volunteering as a firefighter in the Center Auditorium during all three lunches


Hey Hampton students...here comes another blood drive!!  On May 23rd, students who are 16 and older will be asked to roll up their sleeves and donate blood!  Give blood for those people who need life-saving blood; give blood to secure scholarship money for our seniors; give blood to earn 2 hours of community service; and, give blood to get out of class, talk with friends, and get a free snack.
Sign-up sheets may be found in the nurse's office.


Attention Seniors - The Hampton Township Education Association is sponsoring one monetary award for a Hampton High School Senior who is planning to enter the teaching profession.  Financial need is NOT a factor.  This is a one time only award.  Candidates must have a cumulative QPA of 3.0 or higher and must show acceptance to a college or university and intend to major in education.    You can pick up the application in the Guidance Office.  It is due back in the Guidance Office on Monday, April 23rd.

Just a reminder - the Hampton Rotary Scholarship application is due on  Monday, April 16, 2012 to the Guidance office.

The Hampton High School crew team began their spring racing season this past Saturday on a rainy day in Marietta, Ohio.  This was the first time in the history of the club that all the Hampton boats made it into the finals.

  • The Womens Varsity 4, with Jess Garver, Emily Wilson, Katie Dukovich, Kelley Bittner, and Jordan Bamrick won the silver medal.
  • The Womens JV 4, with Molly Kingston, Abby Wateska, Ashley Malongowski, Molly Jaconski, and Katie Schuetz, won the bronze.
  • The Mens Varsity 4, with Chris Garver, Alex Krills, Brandon Dorenkott, Brendan Luksik, and Mat Lombardo, won the bronze medal.
  • And the Mens Varsity 8, with Srikanth Schelbert, Alex Krills, Brendan Luksik, Alec Dickson, Mat Lombardo, Conner Bamrick, Spenser Flowers, Jake Landry, and Chris Garver won the bronze.

The team will be traveling to Columbus, Ohio this Friday for their race on Saturday.

Seniors - if you ordered a senior t-shirt, they are in!  Please stop by Mr. Longwell's room to pick yours up this week. There are a few extra that were ordered.  If you did not order one, and would still like to buy a shirt, check with Mr. Longwell to see if there is an extra in your size.


Attention Boys Basketball Players grades 9-11:  There will be an open gym On Tuesday, April 17 and Thursday April 19 from 6:30-8:00 for all boys interested in playing basketball next season.  
"Attention Seniors - we have three new local scholarships to advertise. These all have rather short application periods so watch the due dates.


The Hampton Township Education Association is sponsoring four (4) monetary awards for seniors who are planning to enter the teaching profession. The due date is Monday, April 23rd by 3 pm to the Guidance Office.


The Joanne Pikur Scholarship, in honor of Mrs. Pikur who was a Physical Education teacher at Central Elementary as well as the Girls' Softball coach, is for seniors who are majoring in the fields of Health and Physical Education, Recreation or Dance. The due date is Wednesday, April 25th by 3 pm to the Guidance Office.


The Kiwanis Club of Pittsburgh Foundation has three (3) $1000 scholarships available for Allegheny County residents. Please see the application for the scholarship criteria. The scholarship application must be postmarked by 5 pm on Friday, April 27th. These applications are all available in the Guidance Office and on the Naviance Family Connection website.
