Contacting Employees By Phone
To phone an employee listed in the Directory from outside District buildings:

• If the four-digit extension you are dialing begins with the number 6, dial 412-492-(the four-digit extension).
• If the four-digit extension you are dialing does not begin with the number 6, dial 412-486-6000. Following the voice menu instructions, select option 1, then enter the four-digit extension.

• Click the envelope icon beside the name (employees without email accounts will have no icon).
• A new email message will open in your computer’s default email program.

Email links in this directory are designed to prevent spam abuse. As an unintended result, these links may not work for users of web-based email programs such as Gmail, Yahoo, and Hotmail. Parents who cannot send email through this directory are reminded that most teachers can also be contacted by using the “Teacher Email” link within the Pinnacle Internet Viewer.

While not true for every account, most district email addresses are in the lastname@ht-sd.org format and in the case of employees having the same last name, the lastname followed by first initial format.
