The Hampton Township School District Board of Directors held its annual reorganization meeting on Dec. 4, at which time officers were elected and meeting dates and times were established for 2018.
Bryant Wesley, Esq., was re-elected to the position of Board President. Mr. Wesley has served as the Board’s President for the last four years. Mrs. Mary Alice Hennessey was re-elected to the position of Vice President.
Meeting dates and times also were established for the upcoming year. Board members opted to leave meeting dates and times as currently scheduled. Work sessions will be held at 7 p.m. on the first Monday of the month, with Voting meetings occurring on the second Monday at 7:30 p.m. The fourth Monday of each month will be reserved for a Special Meeting, which will be held at 7 p.m. if the Board determines the meeting is necessary that month. Board meetings will continue to be held in the Dr. Harold Sarver Memorial Library in the Hampton Middle School.
Exceptions to the rule will occur during the January 2018 meetings, which have been modified to accommodate the District’s Winter Break holiday. The January 2018 Work Session meeting will be held at 7 p.m. on Jan. 8 and the Voting meeting will be held at 7:30 p.m. on Jan. 15. A special meeting also is scheduled for Jan. 22, 2018. The start time is 7 p.m.; however, the location for this meeting only has been moved to the High School Auditorium to accommodate a special presentation by Dr. Peter Franzen on later school start times.
A complete list of meeting dates and times can be found on the District website at www.ht-sd.org under District/District Calendar.
The next regularly-scheduled meeting is at 7 p.m. on Jan. 8 in the Dr. Harold Sarver Memorial Library in the Hampton Middle School.
