The PSSA testing dates published in the District Activities Calendar have changed. These changes are a result of a State-wide decision to alter the window of opportunity to administer the PSSA tests.
Elementary students in Grade 3, 4, and 5 will be tested in reading and math on April 8, 9, 12, 13, 14, and 15. April 16 is a make-up testing date. Grade 5 students will be tested in writing on April 19, 20, 21, 22, and 23. Grade 4 students will be tested in science on April 26, 27, 28, 29, and 30. These dates include testing and make-up testing dates.
Middle School Grade 6, 7, and 8 students are scheduled for PSSA exams in math and reading on April 7, 8, 13 and 14. Grade 8 students writing test dates are April 19, 20, and 21. Grade 8 science testing dates are April 27 and 28. Make up test dates are April 9, 12, 15, 16, 22, 23, 26, 29, and 30. These dates are subject to change.
The High School Grade 11 student PSSA schedule are: April 7, 8, 13, 14, and 15 for Reading/Math; April 19, 20, and 21 for Writing; April 26, 27, and 28 for Science. Make up exams will be completed during the weeks of testing.
Parents are reminded that students missing school due to travel during PSSA exams will be charged with an unexcused absence.
